The 5th annual Freezin’ for a Reason Polar Plunge to benefit South
Carolina and Horry County Special Olympics will be held on January 30, 2010 at
Springmaid Beach Resort. In 2009, over 700 people plunged and raised a total of
$60,000.00 to benefit athletic training and programs for Special Olympics
athletes.
The plunge party will begin at 10:00 AM with the actual plunge is at 2:00 PM.
Participants are asked to raise at least $50 in pledges to take the plunge, but the
program offers great incentives for people who raise more. Any individuals
interested in plunging, or businesses interested in having a team plunge are
